You've seen it. One leopard radioed across Block I, and within minutes thirty, forty, fifty vehicles converge on a single tree. Engines idling. Dust standing. The cat gone before you clear the corner. That is what booking blind buys you: a queue at the gate at 5 a.m., a broker's markup, and a seat in the convoy.

Did you know? Sloth bears are the only bears that carry their cubs piggyback, and the only ones built to slurp up termites through a gap where their front teeth should be.
Young Leopards at Play
Did you know? Sri Lanka's leopard is the island's only big cat. With no lions or tigers to compete with, it's the undisputed top predator, and Yala has one of the highest densities recorded anywhere on Earth.
A Close Encounter
Did you know? Only around 7% of Sri Lankan male elephants grow tusks. Most, called "tuskless bulls," don't, likely a legacy of generations of past ivory hunting.
Elephant Herd on the Move
Did you know? A herd is led by its oldest female, the matriarch, who remembers water holes and safe routes across decades. Bulls leave the herd around adolescence and roam mostly alone.

The verdict: if you want one simple booking that already has your park tickets, jeep and pickup sorted before you land, book with us. If you already know a specific driver from a past trip, or want to arrange extras like photography guidance directly, going straight to that operator can be worth the extra legwork.

The park
Enter on its terms.
- 06:00–18:00. Gates open at first light, close at last. No exceptions.
- Tracker mandatory. One experienced tracker rides in every vehicle.
- Stay in the jeep. Feet on the floor, the whole run. Designated stops only.
- 25 km/h. The park speed limit. Convoys and off-track driving are banned.
- Silence carries. No horns, music, shouting or whistling at wildlife.
- Nothing in, nothing out. No feeding. No flash. No single-use plastic.
- Blocks I & II close 14 Sep–15 Oct. Annual dry-season drought closure. Blocks IV and V stay open throughout.
