Accessibility

Our aim for this website, and honest notes on what a jeep safari itself involves physically.

This website

We've built this site with semantic page structure, descriptive alt text on images, keyboard-navigable forms, and a layout that works across phones, tablets and desktops. We're not claiming formal conformance with a specific accessibility standard (like WCAG AA), but we're working toward that level and welcome being told where we fall short.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is hard to use with a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation, or any other assistive technology, please tell us: safari@yalasafarisrilanka.lk or WhatsApp +94 70 171 7888. We'll do our best to fix it.

The safari itself

Being upfront about the physical experience matters more here than the website does. Yala's safari jeeps are open 4x4 vehicles on unpaved, uneven park tracks; they aren't wheelchair-accessible in their standard configuration, and the ride itself can be bumpy for several hours.

If you or anyone in your party has mobility needs, a heart or back condition, is pregnant, or has any other concern about the physical demands of a multi-hour jeep safari, message us before booking. We'd rather talk it through with your assigned operator in advance than have it be a surprise at the gate.
