What we collect
When you use the booking form or the hotel request form, we collect the details you enter directly: your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, party size, visitor category, and your chosen safari options (jeep type, trip type, zone and gate).
We don't ask for payment card details anywhere on this site. Payment is arranged directly with your assigned tour operator, not processed or stored by this website.
How we use it
We use your details to arrange your safari: assigning a jeep, driver and tracker, confirming your booking, and contacting you about it. Your name, phone number and trip details are shared with your assigned tour operator so they can reach you directly.
We don't sell your information to third parties, and we don't use it for anything beyond fulfilling and communicating about your booking or enquiry.
How your booking is submitted and stored
This site has no backend database. Booking form submissions are relayed by Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service, straight to our booking team's email inbox. We don't control Web3Forms' own systems beyond that relay step.
Your confirmation page (name, contact details and booking summary) is encoded directly into that page's web address and its QR code, not stored on a server, so it can be reopened later from any device without an account. This encoding is not encryption. Treat your confirmation link and QR code the way you'd treat a physical ticket: don't share it publicly.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Tag Manager, which may load analytics or marketing tools that set cookies in your browser to help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies through your browser's settings at any time; doing so won't stop you from booking a safari.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing safari@yalasafarisrilanka.lk or messaging us on WhatsApp. We'll respond as soon as we can.
Photography and video
Some of the photography and video shown on this site is our own; some clips are provided by operators in our tour network and used with their permission, not filmed by us directly. If you have a rights concern about specific media on this site, contact us and we'll address it.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and bookings are made by adults on behalf of their travelling party. We don't knowingly collect information directly from children.

We may update this policy as the site or our processes change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
